Ed Banger Day #1 – Justice

I thought it would be a nice idea to start at the top of the Ed Banger list. Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay are the French guys behind the name Justice. Their first album was just named † or “cross” and was released in the summer of ’07. Their first single Waters of Nazareth was one of my favorite tracks way before I even heard about the band Justice. It was one of those tracks that just popped up from nowhere and no one really knew much about it.
But it was their song D.A.N.C.E. that really lifted them high up and showcased them to the world!

Justice are (according to rumors) releasing a new album this year but no one really knows much about it. The hype is already intense and if you’ve followed my blog you know even I got tricked!

You probably haven’t missed the Pogo remix of the Alice In Wonderland video that was being sent around like a cheap ho’ about a year ago. This tune Upular is a completely gutted version of the Pixar movie Up. Then Pogo (once again) rearranged it just like it’s predecessor Alice. You can really tell it’s made by the same person, the flow and the feel of the two songs are more or less identical.
But since I love to cut and paste when I work with remixes myself this is still some what an inspiration to me.
None the less, it’s beautifully made!

This is the first remix of a series I’ve decided to call Offbeat Rox. The Offbeat Rox project is just me doing remixes of songs that are not really in the genre of music that i usually play.
I made this remix of Great DJ in just about an hour so it’s a quick mix but I still feel like i made it better, a lot!
