Rifoki
“Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself. Basically, it’s made up of two separate words — “mank” and “ind.” What do these words mean? It’s a mystery, and that’s why so is mankind.”
- Jack Handey
And to understand Rifoki we have to look at the name itself. Rifoki is made up two guys – Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (The Bloody Beetroots) and Steve Aoki. And if you know who these two people are, Rifoki isn’t really a mystery!
If you somehow have managed to miss out on the big hit Warp 1.9 that The Bloody Beetroots and Steve Aoki made together or even tracks they’ve made on their own, I have no idea where you’ve been the last year.
Spotify – Steve Aoki, The Bloody Beetroots.
Both Aoki and Sir Rifo were old school punk rockers and Rifoki is a return to what they where doing before they started producing music and DJing. This is basically old fashioned hardcore punk!
Two track; Sperm Donor and Zombie Attack are available on The Hype Machine, and here’s their myspace profile: myspace.com/rifoki
